About The Position

To support Knight’s Armament Company by contributing to the design and documentation of firearms manufacturing facilities by creating models and creating drawings of the facilities and its infrastructure.

Requirements

2 Years of an Engineering Principled Degree with demonstrated CAD capability. 2-4 years of relevant experience may be substituted for Degree.
Familiarity with metal and plastics forming techniques.
Experience in 3-D CAD design, such as Solid Edge and SolidWorks, and other engineering analysis software.
ASME-Y-14.100 / ANSI-Y-14.5 drawing terms and tolerances.
Knowledge of materials, cutting tools, processes, and machining.
Demonstrated / documented experience in design projects (cradle to grave) multiple components and assemblies.
Working knowledge of Bill of Material (BOM)
Experience in developing and maintaining a record-keeping system; proof-reading record to verify accuracy.

Responsibilities

Produce and update drawings to ASME-Y-14.100 /ANSI-Y-14.5 format, using Solid Edge / SolidWorks 3-D CAD software.
Develop and update work instructions to validate concepts and coordinate testing.
Record or direct the recording of required data from measurements and observations with attention to archiving all relevant data, as well as producing clear, concise reports.
Participate in design reviews, assuring that products meet the overall design objectives and are producible, have no safety flaws and are sale-able.
Will at times work with project manager
Train others in processes and procedures as required.
Follow firearm safety procedures and maintain security of weapons.
Maintain the confidentiality of Knight Enterprises Management, LLC designs, data procedures and processes.
Perform costings and build routings using ERP software.
Assist in the creation and release of drawings pertaining to Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and Engineering Initial Releases (EIRs), moreover, printing and delivering engineering drawings to approved departments and personnel as required.
Additional duties as assigned by management.
