Engineering Technician
About The Position
This role is for a Technical Services position within the Engineering area, focusing on supporting engineering activities related to molded medical device components. The ideal candidate will have an Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, previous experience in the Pharmaceutical or Medical Devices industry, and be bilingual in Spanish and English. The position requires troubleshooting skills for molded parts, the ability to read and interpret CAD drawings, and experience supporting documentation like purchase orders and non-conformances. Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Previous exposure within the Pharmaceutical or Medical Devices industry
- Bilingual, Spanish and English (good communication)
- Troubleshooting molded parts
- Reading and interpreting CAD drawings and part specifications
Nice To Haves
- Prior molding experience strongly preferred
- Basic CAD manipulation is a plus
Responsibilities
- Support engineering activities related to molded medical device components.
- Troubleshoot part- and process-related issues involving molded parts.
- Measure and inspect components to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
- Read, interpret, and apply CAD drawings and engineering documentation.
- Assist with creation, review, and execution of engineering protocols.
- Support non-conformances (NCs) and non-routine reports (NRs), including documentation and follow-up.
- Prepare purchase orders (POs) and request supplier quotations as needed.
- Coordinate with suppliers, including molding vendors, to resolve technical and quality issues.
- Assist engineering and quality teams with documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and a high level of responsiveness.
