About The Position

The Engineering Technician will assist in the setup and maintenance of test fixtures and equipment, ensuring the thoroughness, timeliness, and accuracy of all work performed. This role involves conducting diverse tests on the company's products and competitor products according to work instructions and requested procedures. The technician will also prepare simple reports of test results, make recommendations, and utilize a PC with word processing, database, and spreadsheet software for reporting. The position requires adherence to all safety protocols and the ability to stand for 6 to 8 hours and lift up to 50 pounds. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• 0 to 2 years of experience with test equipment, product life / performance test procedures and methods, mechanical/electrical principles or an applicable trade.
• Knowledge of basic test concepts in the design and development of products and components.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have a valid drivers license

Nice To Haves

• Basic machining skills preferred
• Basic electronics understanding preferred – AC/DC circuits, motors, sensors, controllers
• Ability to complete basic wiring and soldering of components preferred.
• Understanding of common machine component applications and assemblies.
