About The Position

The Engineering Technician will assist in the setup and maintenance of test fixtures and equipment, perform diverse tests on the Company’s line of products and competitor products, and prepare simple reports of test results. This role requires attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to follow work instructions and procedures. The technician will utilize a PC with word processing, database, and spreadsheet software for reporting.

Requirements

• 0 to 2 years of experience with test equipment, product life / performance test procedures and methods, mechanical/electrical principles or an applicable trade.
• Knowledge of basic test concepts in the design and development of products and components.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have a valid drivers license
• Must be able to stand for 6 to 8 hours and lift 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Basic machining skills preferred.
• Basic electronics understanding preferred – AC/DC circuits, motors, sensors, controllers.
• Ability to complete basic wiring and soldering of components preferred.
• Understanding of common machine component applications and assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setup and maintaining test fixtures and equipment as required.
• Exercise responsibility for thoroughness, timeliness and accuracy of work performed.
• Perform diverse tests on the Company’s line of products and competitor products.
• Perform tests per work instructions and request procedures.
• Prepare simple reports of test results and make recommendations.
• Prepare reports utilizing a PC with word processing, database, and spreadsheet.
• Follow all safety protocols as prescribed.
