A CMS Engineering Technician is responsible for a variety of field-centric duties including performing field testing for concrete, soils, asphalt, structural connections, and other various construction materials. Responsibilities include completing and submitting accurate Daily Field reports and performing routine tasks, tests, and calculations associated with construction materials testing and field observations. Engineering Technicians assist staff with field monitoring and independently operate required equipment on project sites. You will take and transport construction materials samples, monitor, interpret and communicate test results to contractors, clients, architects, and other project Team Members. Technicians need to be able to recognize and effectively communicate construction challenges to the proper party in a timely manner and maintain testing equipment, while in use, in such a state as to prevent failure, degradation, or erroneous test results.
