About The Position

The Engineering Technician is responsible for providing support with day-to-day manufacturing issues, waste reduction initiatives and new product launches in a CNC machining facility.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a CNC machining environment.
• Previous experience and proficiency in CNC machine operations, tool setting and making CNC tool height adjustments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Blueprint reading skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
• Strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
• Act with poise, tact, and diplomacy.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for production floor.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing process issues.
• Support Tool Setters in dialing in machines after changes, as required.
• Complete tool life studies, sample product, and tooling, as required.
• Read and interpret part prints for rough castings and finished machined parts.
• Support new tooling trials and improve existing tooling for machining processes.
• Monitor shop floor practices.
• Aid in cell installation.
• Assist Manufacturing Engineers as needed.
• Perform miscellaneous activities as requested by Management.
• Travel to other plants required.
• Other duties as assigned.
