The Position: Neelands is searching for Engineering Technician reporting to our Engineering Manager in our Burlington, Ontario office. The Engineering Technician will provide deliverables to the various departments. The salary range for this role is $50,000 – $60,000. Please note the salary information is general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Requirements

  • College diploma
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
  • Ability to effectively liaise with project managers, contractors, vendors and customer site representatives
  • The ability to ensure compliance with all standards and specifications
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting
  • Well organized, able to multi-task, and have strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license (driver’s license abstract will be required)

Responsibilities

  • Prepare AutoCad drawings in support of engineering management deliverables
  • Create/modify refrigeration schedules
  • On-site Surveys, travel required nationally
  • Organize and correlate survey data
  • Refrigeration Calculations
  • Work with project managers to prepare project estimates
  • Prepare as-builts/close out documents
  • Manage bid requests and timelines
  • Maintain up-to-date technical library
