Engineering Technician
About The Position
This position will support Test Engineers, Validation/Reliability Engineers and/or the Lab Manger in all aspects of laboratory testing and operations. The Technician role will consist of setting up test stands (environmental/vibration/electrical), installing test parts, following designated procedures and actively testing parts to validate conformance. Testing will include collecting data to be used in Laboratory test reports and setting up continuous monitoring equipment when appropriate. Testing will be in accordance with internal and customer specifications.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
- Understanding of Electrical measurement equipment concepts
- Understanding of Mechanical measurement equipment concepts
- Understanding of Thermal measurement equipment concepts
- Understanding of Dimensional measurement equipment concepts
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools
- Strong Excel required
- Attention to details – Ability to recognize anomalies and communicate the occurrence
- Safety – Must be able to work with unguarded equipment and processes typical of a lab environment. Must exhibit awareness of such conditions and request training if questions arise concerning any process, equipment of operation.
