Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in engineering technology or related field and/or a combination of education and experience within the related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Experience with CREO and AutoCAD (CAD) or other systems.
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools and assembly equipment.
  • Understanding and practical application of operational shop math, Microsoft Office Tools such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
  • Authorization for employment in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, document, and follow test procedures for product performance, airflow, pressure loss, and installation-related evaluations.
  • Set up and execute lab tests to measure airflow performance, including CFM, pressure drop, flow restriction, throw/spread, and other system performance characteristics.
  • Test and evaluate HVAC components, venting products, air distribution products, and high-efficiency appliance applications in a controlled lab environment.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze test data to identify performance trends, flow restrictions, product limitations, and opportunities for improvement and prepare test reports that summarize procedures, results, observations, conclusions, and recommended next steps.
  • Partner with engineers to build future test plans that support new product development, sustaining engineering, product changes, and performance validation.
  • Assist with prototype builds, sample preparation, fixture setup, instrumentation, and test equipment configuration.
  • Identify issues during testing and work with engineers to troubleshoot root causes related to airflow, pressure loss, appliance operation, installation conditions, or product design.
  • Help evaluate how product geometry, installation configuration, appliance conditions, and system restrictions impact performance.
  • Operate, maintain, and help improve lab equipment, test fixtures, airflow benches, instrumentation, and data collection tools.
  • Recommend improvements to test methods, lab processes, fixtures, and documentation to improve accuracy, repeatability, and efficiency.
