About The Position

Provide technical support to Engineers during the design and implementation of Manufacturing Processes for a production facility. They possess a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job/environment and work under the close direction of senior personnel in the departmental area.

Requirements

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 5 years previous machining experience relative to department in setup, changeover, and troubleshooting aptitude
Comfortable with machine code and hand programming as necessary.
Must exhibit a solid knowledge of inspection tools and machine tooling applications
Must be detail oriented.
Must be able to use basic computer programs such as MS Excel

Responsibilities

Support the development and implementation of process for planned products.
Support the development and implementation of process improvements for active products - DOE directives.
Supports the Standardization of process in the given work station, including new product process kickoff.
Execute Process Engineer Directives in an efficient and timely manner.
Monitor metrics related to production performance including, but not limited to: SPC monitoring of Key Processes, Production throughput.
Maintain working knowledge of existing production equipment capabilities.
Documents test procedures and results.
Support Lean and 5S initiatives.
Serve as a technical resource for production and solves routine technical problems.
Supports line clearance duties and changeovers, new part setup of machine centers, and improvement initiatives.
Participate in efforts to reduce the Company’s cost of scrap.
Be able to support multiple directives set forth by Process Engineer as they present themselves.
