About The Position

Brewer Science, Inc. is a major innovator of high-technology solutions for the semiconductor / microelectronics markets. We are currently seeking a purpose-driven candidate with an ownership mentality to fill an open position as a Engineering Technician I, II, or III. This position will be located in Rolla, MO. Summary: Engineering Technicians assist engineers in specific testing for product and process characterization, continuous product and process improvements, equipment installations, and the implementation of quality systems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 6+ years related technician experience or Associate’s degree in a relevant technical field and 2+ years of related chemical and/or device processing experience or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or An equivalent combination of education and experience (for ET I).
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 8+ years related technician experience or Associate’s degree in a relevant technical field and 4+ years of related chemical and/or device processing experience or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field and 2+ years of related chemical and/or device processing experience or An equivalent combination of education and experience (for ET II).
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 10+ years related technician experience or Associate’s degree in a relevant technical field and 6+ years of related chemical and/or device processing experience or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field and 4+ years of related chemical and/or device processing experience or An equivalent combination of education and experience (for ET III).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain documentation for products, processes and quality systems.
  • Perform required equipment set up, maintenance, and cleaning.
  • Assist with training for other employees on product, processes, and quality procedures.
  • Use prescribed methods to perform specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an engineer.
  • Comply with cleanroom and safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams on new product development.
  • Assemble, operate, and perform routine maintenance on all equipment in assigned area.
  • Prepare samples utilizing all processes applicable to assigned area.
  • Collect data from experimental testing production.
  • Assist engineers in programs for product and process characterization, continuous product and process improvements, equipment installation, and implementation of quality systems.
  • Assist in continuous improvement of products, processes, and systems.
  • Conduct testing and analysis of materials.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory, manufacturing, and production equipment.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Collaborate with engineers on small-scale projects.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Synthesize, formulate, and package products and samples for characterization of products and processes.
  • Collect and analyze data from experimental testing and production.
  • Assist in performing design, specification, justification, and installation of equipment.
  • Conduct thorough testing and evaluation of prototypes, components, and systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to contribute to project planning design, and execution.
  • Assist in the development of project specifications and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Document test procedures, results, and provide comprehensive reports to assist in decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of engineering processes, procedures, and project records.
  • Prepare technical reports, manuals, and other documentation as required.
  • Perform maintenance on engineering equipment and tools to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Identify and address equipment malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to lower-level engineering technicians.
