Requirements

  • An associate degree in surveying, drafting, designing, civil, or any other appropriate field of engineering technology.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
  • You must meet the PA residency requirement.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • A conditional offer of employment will require submission of criminal history reports.

Responsibilities

  • Create highway and bridge plans using CADD tools and conventional drafting methods
  • Translate survey data into clear plan sheets that show existing roadway features
  • Develop drawings and layouts from preliminary engineering sketches and notes
  • Work with designers to assemble complete sets of project plans
  • Join field views and inspections to help verify project details
  • Use RMS and Auto Tab systems to collect information and generate summaries
