About The Position

The Engineering Technician V serves as the senior technical expert, overseeing the most complex projects and ensuring the highest standards of technical performance in constructing, troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining advanced systems. This role involves significant leadership responsibilities and cross-functional collaboration. The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a related field of study.
  • 7+ years of experience as a technician or in a related field.
  • Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications.
  • In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 9 years of related experience is required.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Ability to understand and interpret complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the use of standard laboratory test equipment, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, Oscilloscope, Pitot static equipment, other measurement equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Expertise in advanced system maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with FCC and FCC General Radio Operator License (GROL).
  • Basic skills with avionics installation tooling, wiring, wiring repair, and wiring installation.
  • Understanding of soldering techniques.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with 3-D CAD software.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.
  • Prior experience in a Lead role; the ability to mentor, train, guide and inspect the work of subordinates.
  • Master’s degree in a related technical field.
  • Strong background in strategic research and development.
