About The Position

PGS Worldwide is seeking an Engineering Technician – Program Support in Chandler, Arizona for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will support mechanical engineering teams by processing engineering data, tracking hardware and schedules, coordinating procurement activities, and developing status reports across multiple engineering and program-management systems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 4 years of additional education and/or related experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to process and organize information from multiple systems and data sources.
  • Experience tracking schedules, assignments, budgets, or project status.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on assigned tasks.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Secret clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Business, Engineering Technology, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting engineering or technical programs.
  • Aerospace or defense industry experience.
  • Experience with Teamcenter or other Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Experience tracking hardware, procurement activities, or vendor status.
  • Experience with Jira and Agile or Scrum environments.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project or other Integrated Master Schedule tools.
  • Experience with Siemens NX.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, data processing, or basic automation.

Responsibilities

  • Retrieve and process engineering analyses, drawings, and related technical data.
  • Assist engineers with identifying and tracking required reviewers and approvals.
  • Track hardware procurement status and support integration planning.
  • Coordinate with buyers, vendors, and engineering personnel on procurement activities.
  • Compile and organize labor, actuals, and program data from Excel and other sources.
  • Track schedule tasks, dates, dependencies, and milestone status.
  • Maintain Jira tasks and align work activities with program milestones.
  • Track SDRL and DID requirements, including upcoming and overdue deliverables.
  • Create concise status reports, charts, and management updates from multiple data sources.
  • Process expenses and support basic budget and assignment tracking.
  • Provide administrative and technical support to engineering and program teams.
