About The Position

Supply Chain Management Inc. (SCMI1) has an exciting opportunity in support of Southeast Regional Maintenance Center (SERMC) for an Engineering Technician with a mechanical focus. This role involves supporting US Naval ship systems, with a primary focus on mechanical aspects, including compressed air systems and Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (AC&R) systems. The position requires the ability to assess, troubleshoot, and oversee repairs of these systems, as well as interpret naval engineering drawings and piping diagrams. Candidate selection is subject to customer approval, background checks, and acceptance.

Requirements

• Experience independently or leading a team of technicians in troubleshooting, repairing or testing US Naval ship structural, mechanical systems.
• Experience independently or leading a team performing Formal material condition assessments (TSRA, ICMP, INSURV or similar) of US Navy ship's systems.
• Experience in communicating troubleshooting issues (if any) or assessments with official reports.
• Documented experience with MS Office, NMD, eDFS, NSEDR, and/or TASS-Info
• Combination of mechanical and electrical disciplines, but is primarily mechanical in nature.
• Assessment and oversight of repairs of U.S. Navy ships’ compressed air systems and Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (AC&R) systems.
• Interpreting naval engineering drawings and piping diagrams.
