About The Position

Supply Chain Management Inc.1.com (SCMI1) has an exciting opportunity in support of Southeast Regional Maintenance Center (SERMC) for an Engineering Technician with a mechanical focus. Your resume must have the following skills and 3 years of experience (within the last 5 years) in the following areas to be considered for the position. Specific Experience: The experience required is a combination of mechanical and electrical disciplines, but is primarily mechanical in nature. (a) Assessment and oversight of repairs of U.S. Navy ships’ compressed air systems and Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (AC&R) systems. (b) Interpreting naval engineering drawings and piping diagrams. Please note that your resume and candidacy is subject to customer approval and acceptance and clearing of the required background check.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience (within the last 5 years) in troubleshooting, repairing or testing US Naval ship structural, mechanical systems.
  • 3 years of experience (within the last 5 years) performing Formal material condition assessments (TSRA, ICMP, INSURV or similar) of US Navy ship's systems.
  • 3 years of experience (within the last 5 years) in communicating troubleshooting issues (if any) or assessments with official reports.
  • Documented experience with MS Office, NMD, eDFS, NSEDR, and/or TASS-Info.
  • Experience in assessment and oversight of repairs of U.S. Navy ships’ compressed air systems and Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (AC&R) systems.
  • Experience in interpreting naval engineering drawings and piping diagrams.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting, repairing or testing US Naval ship structural, mechanical systems.
