About The Position

SAIC is currently seeking an Engineering Tech IV to provide drafting and documentation support for NSWC Crane. In this role, you will work closely with engineers, drafters and technicians, contributing to the creation and updating of Technical Data Packages. The position requires experience with Creo and SolidWorks 3D parametric software, as well as Windchill, or a willingness to quickly learn these tools. Success in this role depends on technical proficiency and the ability to understand and efficiently execute relevant processes and procedures. Requirements

• Experience with Creo and SolidWorks 3D parametric software
• Experience with Windchill, or a willingness to quickly learn these tools

Responsibilities

• Creates and modifies detailed models and drawings using Creo and occasional other forms of CAD Software.
• Works closely with the Customer, Engineers, Technicians and other CAD Operators to capture design, revise existing documentation and attend meetings.
• Works independently as well as in a collective team effort to effect changes to design and/or documentation
• Able to delegate tasking and advice to other team members while maintaining quick decision making under pressure.
• Able to keep Configuration Management of the tasking, files and correspondence as required to complete the task in a quick and orderly fashion.
• Performs a variety of moderate and complex tasks and have the ability to use a variety of tools to include, but not limited to, Calipers, Gauges, Tape Measure, Ruler and other mechanical devices to aid in design development and verification/validation of first article pieces.
