About The Position
SAIC is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Engineering Technician I to join our team as a Cable Assembly Technician supporting the US Navy in Bedford, IN. This entry-level position offers a great opportunity to develop hands-on experience and grow within our engineering and manufacturing team.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED and zero years of experience.
- Must have the ability to obtain a secret clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision.
- Capability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Standing, sitting and twisting for periods at a time.
- Proficiency with hand tools.
Nice To Haves
- One or more years of experience in cable assembly, electronic assembly, or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Manufacturing experience.
- Familiarity with cable types, connectors, and assembly techniques.
- Proficiency with testing equipment used in cable assembly.
Responsibilities
- Assembling, testing, and troubleshooting various types of cable assemblies used in different applications for military applications.
