About The Position

SAIC is seeking an Engineering Technician IV to work with our JXNS Branch at Crane NSWC, IN. Applicants must be able to Provide technical support for assigned systems or platforms to include modification, maintenance and repair within the JXNS Branch. Provide technical support for the JXNS to include performing tasks such as assembling, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment. Conduct routine repair, retrofit, systems integration, calibration and testing; in-line repair and testing; operation of test equipment; coordinate test schedules; prepare inputs for test plans; review test plans and procedures; conduct or monitor system, subsystem, equipment or component testing; adjust units under test; analyze test results; and determine valid recommendations and conclusions based on test data.

Requirements

  • AA Degree in related discipline and two (2) years or more of related experience; Or, High School and four (4) years of related experience.
  • Interim secret clearance is required to start with the ability to obtain a secret clearance.
  • An understanding of electronics principles, mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read engineering diagrams and drawings.
  • The ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with others.
  • Experience using hand tools.
  • Must be U.S. citizen.

  • Remote Weapons Systems Experience
  • 7711/7721 Solder Certified or J-STD-001 Solder Certified
  • 2M Certification
