Engineering Technician, Intermediate
About The Position
The Technician Intermediate role will provide support for in‑house CDM testing using the Orion system, as well as HBM and Latch‑Up testing using the MK4 system, across multiple product types including Digital, RF/A, PMIC, RFFE, Connectivity, and Automotive products. The technician will also support the collection of thermal images for RFFE products to enable HTOL Tj setting and design thermal evaluations. The technician will work closely with engineers, following established setups and guidance, to ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
Requirements
- Associate's degree.
- High School diploma or equivalent and 1+ year of Engineering Technician or related work experience.
- 2+ years basic electrical/electronic engineering, electronics or ESD/LU (HBM, CDM and LU) testing, or related experience.
- Basic understanding of ESD and Latch-up testing
- Communication and uses of Business communication tools
- Coordination with direct and indirect team members
- Following written and oral directions
- Keep pace with a changing work environment
- Emotional intelligence
Nice To Haves
- 1+ years’ experience working in component level ESD/LU testing
- 1+ years’ experience working in thermal imaging data collection
- 2+ years’ experience in Semiconductor or related industry
- 2+ years’ experience with general computer skills and Microsoft applications.
- Associates in any technical area with Engineering or Mathematics
Responsibilities
- Work closely with reliability, product, and test engineers to independently set up and execute ESD (HBM/CDM) and Latch‑Up (LU) testing on semiconductor devices and products with minimal supervision.
- Configure, operate, and maintain thermal imaging equipment in support of product characterization and failure analysis efforts.
- Collect, analyze, and summarize test data, preparing clear and accurate reports for submitting engineers and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with individuals inside own team and with other teams to complete project work.
