Requirements

  • Associate degree in Engineering Technology or a related field or a combination of education and experience equivalent to an associate degree (required).
  • 2 years of experience as an engineering technician or in a similar technical support role (required).
  • Requires familiarity with engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD), testing equipment, and standard operating procedures in the field.
  • Must receive a satisfactory pre-hire drug screen and background check.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • experience with government or regulated projects (preferred).
  • Familiarity with earthwork and geosynthetics construction procedures and quality control/quality assurance testing (preferred).
  • Relevant technical certifications in equipment operation or safety (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Support engineers and scientists in conducting field tests, data collection, and inspections for various projects, including DOE, DOD, and commercial contracts.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical drawings, reports, and documentation using engineering software.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot technical equipment, ensuring proper functionality during project execution.
  • Perform routine fieldwork and inspections, ensuring accurate data collection and reporting to senior engineers.
  • Follow established procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and project-specific standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and resolve technical challenges during the project lifecycle.
  • Flexibility required. Within reason, changes to directives, assigned responsibilities, or work-related activities may be necessary at any time to respond to shifts in working conditions, opportunities, or company objectives.
