About The Position

Entegris is currently seeking an Engineering Technician II to join our New Product Engineering team. This position will be based in our Burnet, TX facility. In this role, you will be a key player along with skilled engineers on a dynamic New Product Introduction team whose objective is to develop and transfer processes and equipment to the manufacturing team. These processes and equipment produce and deliver specialty chemicals used by our customers to build high performance semiconductor products.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent technical experience in electronics/mechanics or similar.
  • 0-2 years of hands-on aptitude with mechanical, chemical, or electro-mechanical systems, supported by practical lab, production, or technical experience.
  • Experience working with tools, equipment, or instrumentation in a technical, manufacturing, or R&D environment.
  • Adaptability to move between different processes, equipment types, and project stages based on business priorities.
  • Strong documentation discipline and attention to detail for recording data, observations, and technical notes consistently.
  • Clear communication skills for collaborating with engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and wear PPE as necessary.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and move for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP and LIMS is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support hands-on laboratory and production activities across multiple processes based on project and operational needs.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain equipment and tools following established procedures and safety requirements.
  • Perform troubleshooting of equipment, process deviations, and tooling issues, escalating or resolving based on experience.
  • Execute experiments, collect data, and document findings with accuracy and traceability.
  • Assist in process improvements by identifying issues, suggesting solutions, and supporting implementation.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of work areas, materials, and equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams to meet project goals and schedules.
  • Support documentation activities such as updating checklists, logs, work instructions, and basic SAP transactions.
