Engineering Technician II
About The Position
McLaughlin Research Corp. has an opening for an Engineering Technician II. The position performs maintenance and support operations for towed, hull, and sensor laboratory equipment in accordance with Government-approved Laboratory Standard Operating Procedures. It also involves routine equipment maintenance and laboratory organization, reporting equipment failures and troubleshooting performed, and documenting other operational or maintenance problems. The technician updates and maintains laboratory equipment documentation, including equipment and laboratory drawings, power, cooling and space requirements, installation control drawings, configuration databases, and equipment layout options. This documentation supports maintenance and reconfiguration of laboratory equipment within Government spaces. The position also reviews technical and program documentation to verify consistency with system specifications and technical manuals.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 0 to 1 years of professional experience.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a security clearance.
- Goal-oriented with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to multitask and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and support operations for towed, hull, and sensor laboratory equipment in accordance with Government-approved Laboratory Standard Operating Procedures.
- Conduct routine equipment maintenance and organize the laboratory.
- Report equipment failures, troubleshooting performed on failed equipment, and other laboratory operation or maintenance problems.
- Update and maintain laboratory equipment documentation, including equipment and laboratory drawings, power, cooling and space requirements, installation control drawings, configuration databases, and equipment layout options.
- Review system specifications, design documents, engineering change proposals, program trouble reports, test reports, operational requirements documents, test plans, maintenance reports, maintenance requirements cards, logistics material, engineering drawings, and engineering measurement program data for consistency with system specifications and technical manuals.
