About The Position

Tessera is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Engineering Technician II – Quality Control Specialist to support our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for monitoring the quality performance of all services performed by Tessera Contract Services and Sub-Contractors on behalf of Tessera through independent surveillance. The QC specialist will generate reports that identify quality levels, trends, training needs, and other qualitative data necessary to ensure that contract requirements are being met. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Quality Control/Safety or Janitorial.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software applications.
  • A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
  • Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military ID, in accordance with the REAL ID Act.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
  • A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
  • No employee or representative of the Contractor will be admitted to the site of work unless satisfactory proof of U.S. citizenship is furnished.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document daily inspections utilizing the inspection program and/or forms, as applicable to ensure contract quality specifications are met. Inspection can include, but are not limited to: Janitorial, Grounds, Sanitation, Galley Operations, IQ, Cracks and Crevices, Striping, Floor Care, Cargo Doors, Chutes, Exhaust Hoods, Lamping, Recycling, Pest Control and Smoke Shelters.
  • Solicit customer surveys during inspections at predetermined buildings and/or randomly selected completed work orders.
  • Operate computer software applications to perform data entry, analysis, and reporting tasks efficiently.
  • Prepare and submit all required reports to Quality Control Supervisor and Division Leadership at the required frequency. Ensure all reports are clear, concise, and comprehensive.
  • Update all pertinent quality control folders on SharePoint at the required frequency for both internal (Quality Control) and external (Division/Government) locations.
  • Establish and maintain excellent relationships in any interactions with customers, employees and management while performing duties.
  • Monitor and identify problematic trends along with customer complaints and initiate corrective action plans as required.
  • Cross training in all areas and locations of the West Sound Area contracts.
  • Communicate professionally and courteously with customers, be efficient and timely.
  • Maintain professionalism in both appearance and demeanor.
  • Continuously review contracts for standards and specification of work requirements or for any changes or modification to the contract.
  • Conduct inspections of work environment to ensure safety requirements are met.
  • Drive to local and off-site contract locations to perform inspections independently and part of a team as required.
  • Adhere to ISO Processes and Standards and ensure all SOPs and ISO processes are meeting contractual guidelines.
  • Ability to perform ISO Audits for both divisional and corporate level processes.
  • All Other Duties as Assigned.
