Astrion is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Technician II/III to support the Marshall Engineering Technicians and Trades Support (METTS) III contract at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) located on Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. This position is in support of the METTS III contract at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) on the Redstone Arsenal located in Huntsville, Alabama. This position is in direct support of the Valve and Component Laboratory supporting test activities as well as other pressure systems activity across MSFC. This position is for first shift working 4-10 schedule 6:00am - 4:30pm Mondays through Thursdays. Performs assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed involving a sequence of related operations necessary to restore components to their original condition. Receives detailed process instructions and seeks explicit advice from Team Lead or a senior technician on unfamiliar assignments as needed and performs recurring work independently. Records and documents pertinent component information and operation in process instructions during servicing. Work is reviewed for technical adequacy and conformity with process instructions upon completion. Technician should be familiar with mechanical equipment such as valves, regulators, gauges, pumps.
