About The Position

Highly skilled and versatile Multiskilled Industrial Facilities Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in maintaining and repairing a variety of industrial facility equipment and systems, including operations manufacturing equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our facilities operate smoothly, efficiently, and safely.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Experience with operations manufacturing equipment including large chamber vacuum systems, CNC equipment, control systems, and shakers
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Physically able to perform the duties required, including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in various environmental conditions
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience
  • Proven experience as an industrial facilities mechanic or in a similar role
  • Ability to obtain Secret security clearance will be required as most employees at this site will be selected for work programs requiring them

Nice To Haves

  • Technical training or certifications preferred
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician (CMRT) or similar certification
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations
  • TS/SCI clearance (or ability to obtain)

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment
  • Maintain and troubleshoot operations manufacturing equipment including large chamber vacuum systems, CNC equipment, control systems, and shakers
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues with facility systems and equipment
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on facility infrastructure and manufacturing equipment
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance
  • Collaborate with other facilities staff and contractors to complete projects and repairs
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
  • Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies required for maintenance tasks
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and issues
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of facility improvement projects
  • Assist in Manufacturing repairs
  • Stay updated with the latest industry’s best practices and technologies
  • Works autonomously
  • Acts as a mentor to lower-level peers and provides guidance on tasks
  • Make recommendations for solutions
  • Works on assignments requiring judgment and initiative
  • Uses knowledge and experience to resolve issues
  • Handles larger scope work, typically on less structured task-related activities requiring judgement
  • Provide On-call support during off hours and weekends based on a set schedule.
