About The Position

As an Engineering Technician, you will work in a dynamic, fast paced production and R&D environment with a focus on quality and attention to detail. The Engineering Technician will support the engineering design process, lead special projects, serve as a liaison between engineering and manufacturing, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure product quality and validation. This role involves analyzing technical data, providing on-site assistance, developing technical content, and mentoring team members. In this role, you will be a part of the Agile Development Group which is a division that specializes in developing disruptive, next-generation technologies for advanced Unmanned Air Systems (UAS / UAV), advanced radar systems, next-generation weapon systems, and other RF sensor technologies using small company agility and big company experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 yrs post Secondary/Associates Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 0 to 2 years of prior relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties required to assist with the fabrication and integration of complex electromechanical systems.
  • Provide continuous feedback during initial prototyping and development phases. Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver projects with evolving customer requirements
  • Lead special projects, owning the status and documentation of special projects throughout their lifecycle
  • Serve as a liaison between engineering and manufacturing operations. Lead manufacturing cells or areas, ensuring alignment with engineering intent.
  • Analyze and develop levels of product repair, refurbishment, and maintenance. Formulate recommendations regarding sparing of equipment, repair parts, and test/support equipment.
  • Troubleshoot design and manufacturing discrepancies and implement root cause corrective actions.
  • Review and provide inputs on technical drawings and process documentation.
  • Support field testing and troubleshooting, providing on-site assistance during customer tests and demonstrations
  • Actively mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous growth
  • Identifies and corrects conditions that affect employee safety, upholding corporate safety standards
