About The Position

This role involves researching and compiling information from various sources, performing calculations, and preparing technical studies, research projects, and reports. The position is responsible for the preparation and interpretation of statistical and graphical exhibits, managing computer input and processing, and reviewing computer-generated output. Additionally, the role requires the preparation and maintenance of various records such as schedules, projects, and data on equipment. The incumbent may also be required to use other personal computer programs.

Requirements

Two years of college education, or one year of college with current enrollment in a recognized program.
Completion of courses including engineering, math, physics, chemistry, and drafting.
A C average in major courses.
Valid Driver’s License with a safe driving history that meets National Grid’s Safe Driver policy.
Ability to work without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
Pass Field Assessment.
Subject to federal Drug & Alcohol safety regulations governing US Department of Transportation ("DOT") covered positions.

Nice To Haves

Completion of a two-year certificate of Engineering Studies from recognized local colleges (e.g., Farmingdale, Nassau Community, or Suffolk Community Colleges).
