About The Position

Austin, TX No relocation - local candidates preferred 100% onsite As an Engineering Technician 5, you will be instrumental in creating and maintaining an environment that empowers our Product and Test engineering team. You will go beyond managing equipment and lab floor. You will be a key enabler of technical and operational success, ensuring that the lab spaces are designed for efficiency and collaboration. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the company's growth by streamlining lab operations. Additionally, you will be expected to: Collaborate with stakeholders in the design and optimization of spaces to meet the evolving needs of the engineering and manufacturing teams Continuously maintain and improve lab capabilities and operations by implementing 5S workspace organization method. Maintain and manage inventory of all lab equipment, including tools, chemicals, and consumables Proactively implement maintenance strategies and deliver systems for lab organization and cleanliness as well as train users accordingly Provide hands-on technical support to engineers, such as soldering and testing semiconductor units on multiple ATE platforms Ensure spaces comply with safety regulations and industry standards Manage lab equipment calibration scheduling and maintenance Establish and maintain calibration procedures and management of instrumentation, tooling, and test equipment.

Requirements

  • Attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Associate's Degree in electronics or related field (BS and MS also welcome)
  • Familiarity with lab equipment (test fixtures, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc)
  • Experience troubleshooting test equipment
  • Minimum 4 years experience as Lab Manager

  • Understanding of ESD control and lab safety standards

Responsibilities
