About The Position

Engineering Technician responsible for fine pitch all aspect CCA rework, cable and mechanical enclosure building and assembly. Interprets and reviews blueprints, wiring lists, quality standards, manufacturers’ catalogs, customer specifications, reference manuals, and purchase order (PO) requirements. Witnesses tests, as required, or performs actual dynamic tests on individual items (electronic devices) or assemblies. Uses equipment such as soldering stations, microscopes, multimeters, calipers, micrometers and other applicable lab equipment. Performs lab equipment calibration data review and audits.

Requirements

  • Microelectronics Technician Diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of 10 years of experience as a lab technician.
  • Knowledgeable of Electrical Static Discharge (ESD, such EIA 625,) for use of handling electronic assemblies and components.
  • Able to read, interpret and apply electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, specifications, quality standards and reference manuals.
  • Proficient in the use and application of quality control test methods and equipment.
  • Proficient in fine pitch soldering and solder inspection to industry standards, such as IPC 610.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to follow written and verbal directions.
  • Able to read and interpret technical material.
  • 20-20 vision or correctable vision to 20-20, and depth perception with no color blindness.
  • Able to climb stairs, walk, stand, and sit for extended periods.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work with a personal computer for timekeeping data input and data input and report generation.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to communicate with department and interdepartmental areas.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a DOD Security Clearance.
