About The Position
In the Global Products Group, we are dedicated to excellence in the design and engineering of Lam's etch and deposition products. This role offers the opportunity to build and advance a career working with Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM) in a semiconductor-focused environment. Successful candidates will have hands-on experience with sample imaging techniques, including Cross-Section SEM (XSEM), Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS/EDX), and sample cleaving.
Requirements
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience, with a minimum of 2–4 years of related experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) experience.
- Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work a shift‑based schedule as required.
Nice To Haves
- Technical Certificate in a related technical field.
- Experience in metrology or related technical areas.
- Experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for supporting a variety of semiconductor applications using Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM) to image challenging structures.
- Experience imaging samples at the wafer level, including acquiring profile, sidewall, and top‑down images using SEM.
- Some experience with Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS) analysis.
- Knowledge of SEM image optimization for a variety of materials.
- Ability to contribute to the development of Best Known Methods (BKM) for SEM imaging of new applications.
- Ability to perform SEM alignments and correct basic fault conditions on metrology equipment.
- Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively work with a large internal customer base.
