Requirements

  • Team player and good communicator
  • Enjoy challenging work and look forward to growing your technical skills through on-the-job shadowing
  • Organized and detail-oriented, documenting experiments so they can be presented and replicated
  • Able to manage timelines and execute projects in a collaborative environment
  • Can work safely with in-development chemical formulations and prototype automation
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of related experience
  • High School diploma/certificate or equivalent
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Examples of English language proficiency may include (but are not limited to): ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to verbally communicate with leadership, employees, and auditors; ability to comprehend spoken language.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Senior Scientists, Engineers and a team of Technicians to manufacture functional prototype sensors for cutting edge future product designs
  • Support engineering builds by fabricating units, collecting data, providing feedback, and helping to problem solve issues
  • Perform troubleshooting and preventative maintenance for instruments and equipment, as well as setup/teardown activities daily
  • Perform laboratory-related clerical duties including filing, recordkeeping, entering data into computer database, and documenting experimental results when necessary
  • Manufacture sensor probes, utilizing a variety of released, off-the-shelf, and in-development equipment. (e.g. laser singulation and coating equipment)
  • Maintain a clean working environment and help keep track of existing sensor and material inventory
  • Input data utilizing various software including but not limited to Excel
