The Engineering Technician 2, independently executes test plans, supports troubleshooting, and contributes to test method development. This role requires strong technical competence, sound judgment, and consistent adherence to safety and documentation standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required (technical certificate or coursework preferred); Associate’s Degree in engineering technology, manufacturing, or related field preferred, or a combination of related experience, education and/or training to sufficiently and successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • 2–5 years of relevant test, manufacturing, or firearms experience
  • Strong understanding of firearm systems and operating principles
  • Proficiency with precision measurement tools and test equipment
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Demonstrated ability to work in accordance with our Company Values.

Nice To Haves

  • experience with endurance, environmental, or military-style test protocols

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for demonstrating commitment to and leadership of environmental health and safety principles, policies and procedures.
  • Execute engineering test plans with minimal supervision (reliability, endurance, environmental, and accuracy testing)
  • Conduct live-fire testing and advanced functional evaluations
  • Assemble, modify, and configure test articles per engineering direction
  • Troubleshoot firearm and component failures and document root causes
  • Collect, analyze, and summarize test data for engineering review
  • Support development and validation of new test fixtures and methods
  • Interface with Design, Manufacturing, and Quality teams during testing
  • Train and mentor Technician I personnel
  • Ensure test activities comply with internal procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Expected to be a contributor to the company standards on high integrity, safety, fair and equitable treatment and a positive work environment
  • Provides adequate support, training and development to team members to continuously improve Safety, 6S, Quality, Delivery and Productivity.
  • Other responsibilities as deemed appropriate or necessary by management.
