About The Position

ProSidian seeks an Engineering & Technical Support Specialist II | Engineering and Technical Support Specialist (ETSS) for Program Support on an Exempt Basis for Working On-Site (Client Site) in The Southeast | South Atlantic | CONUS Area (Aiken, South Carolina). This role is generally located across the Aiken, South Carolina, and across The Southeast | South Atlantic | CONUS Region, supporting a High-hazard nuclear cleanup environment requiring disciplined staffing, safety, quality, security, and regulatory compliance. The position is aligned with the GSA Labor Category: Applied Engineer 2 and is principally focused on ProSidian Strategic Resourcing and Professional Staff Augmentation for Engineering and Technical Support Specialist (ETSS) Solutions and Services. We seek candidates with relevant Nuclear And Environmental Management Sector Experience to support professional services engagement for clients such as SRMC. This is a Contract Contingent or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) position, though ProSidian reserves the right to convert it to a Full-Time ProSidian employed W-2 Position. The role focuses on Human Capital | Project Management | Engineering | Environmental | Compliance | Risk Management | IT Effectiveness | Business Process | Training Knowledge Management Solutions for clients such as Savannah River Mission Completion, LLC (SRMC) | SRMC Supply Chain / Procurement supporting the Liquid Waste Program. The Engineering & Technical Support Specialist II will provide services and support as a ProSidian Engagement Team Member, supporting engineering activities through planning, analysis, coordination, documentation, compliance, quality assurance, and stakeholder support. They will resolve operational challenges by planning and administering technical programs tailored to facility and Engineering needs.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or technical discipline and 1+ year relevant experience; OR
Bachelor’s degree in a non-technical discipline and 2+ year’s work experience preferably in operations, operations support, maintenance, Engineering, or technical field OR;
Associate's degree in an Engineering or technical discipline and 3+ years related operations, operations support, maintenance or Engineering experience OR;
High school diploma and 5+ years related operations, operations support, or maintenance experience.
Primarily focused on Management and Financial Consulting, Acquisition and Grants Management Support, and Business Program and Project Management Services initiatives and aligned with Program Support activities Engineering and Technical Support Specialist (ETSS) Functional Area Activities.

Nice To Haves

General understanding and familiarity with electrical and mechanical documents, blueprints, drawings, and schematics and various computer applications may be required depending upon the position and specific duties
Conceptual understanding of various facility processes, systems, and equipment. Working knowledge of site work control procedures and practices for both maintenance and operations.
General understanding of work hazards, safety programs, operating configuration and lockout/hold identification is required.

Responsibilities

Safety is a primary responsibility in each job performed. Obtain safety training, obey safety rules, and make safety an integral part of each task. Take necessary steps to stop work if continuing the activity is unsafe or will create and unsafe condition.
Performs standard Engineering activities based on practical experience. Typically responsible for a small scope of Engineering responsibilities with low to medium complexity.
Develops well defined Engineering specifications for process, operations, calibration, material and test equipment, installed or portable process instrumentation, or functional area systems under general supervision.
Develops, reviews, and implements operating and calibration procedures and standards when experience allows.
Performs routine equipment, facility, or area walk downs to conduct equipment maintenance inspections while documenting equipment and facility measurement control data, configuration, and other equipment details to ensure safe and efficient equipment operation and inventory.
Oversees standard installation of new equipment, major equipment modifications, and various other major equipment issues which support processes, calibration, measuring, or site operations.
Contributes to technical reviews on proposed operations, calibration, or measuring equipment modifications.
Provides technical support to operations and maintenance technicians and other personnel as requested.
Coordinates new and/or repaired equipment testing with Engineering and maintenance organizations prior to field installation.
May monitor a variety of contingency coordinator roles in support of the technical aspects of emergency, fire, security, safety, environmental, regulatory compliance, nuclear material accountability, Engineering schedules, and maintenance surveillance programs among others.
