About The Position

This role involves converting technical drawings and prints into digital formats using CAD and engineering systems. The Engineering Tech will follow standard procedures for revisions and naming conventions, file original documents, and may assist with other support activities within the Engineering Department. The position requires a strong mechanical or electrical aptitude, the ability to interpret technical drawings, excellent problem-solving skills, and proficiency with relevant tools and equipment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Pursuing degree in relevant discipline (mechanical engineering, applications etc.)
• Proficient in AutoCAD LT
• Strong mechanical or electrical aptitude (depending on discipline).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with tools, measurement equipment, and diagnostic instruments.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication.

Nice To Haves

• A or B.S in Mechanical Engineering

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings, prints and/or sketches to determine necessary information needed to convert to digital format.
• Convert drawings to electronic and digital format using CAD and or business engineering systems.
• Follow recommended standard procedures, revision identification and naming nomenclature for drawings.
• Responsible for filing original documents as required.
• May assist in other support activities in the Engineering Department of other functions.
• Any/all other duties as assigned.
