About The Position

This role involves testing, calibrating, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying clinically applied instrumentation components and systems, as well as other electronic equipment necessary for the operation of the medical center. The position reports to the Chief Technician or Lead Technician for supervision. This role requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization, demonstrating behavior consistent with the Core Values, and supporting the Organization's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP). The Clinical Engineering Tech ensures that maintenance, operation, and repair responsibilities meet department quality and quantity expectations and maintains skills and knowledge by keeping up with new technological advances. The role requires good judgment and decision-making as a Biomedical Technician, productive use of time, and adherence to departmental and hospital policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School graduate with military technical schooling or two (2) years of college with major in Electronics, Biomedical Electronics or equivalent
  • Two (2) years' experience as a Biomedical Technician

Responsibilities

  • Tests, calibrates, troubleshoots, repairs and modifies clinically applied instrumentation components and systems and other electronic equipment necessary for operation of the medical center.
  • Ensures maintenance, operation and repair responsibilities meet department quality expectations.
  • Ensures the quantity of maintenance, operation and repair responsibilities meet department expectations.
  • Maintains skills, knowledge of position by keeping up with new technological advances.
  • Exercises good judgment and decision making as a Biomedical Technician.
  • Utilizes time productively.
  • Adheres to departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
