About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Engineering Tech V to join our team. This role will provide technical support to include technical documentation review, system troubleshooting, product evaluation and improvement recommendations, performance of Acceptance Test Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, Technical Repair Standards (TRS), Configuration Control support, scheduling, packing/packaging, and shipping. In addition, you will provide depot maintenance support, on NIR NVG systems, to include system and sub-system troubleshooting analysis, disassembly, cleaning, repair modification, system Integration, and cable/wiring repair.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience in electronic hardware systems.
  • Must be able to lift 15 lbs.
  • Must be able to work for prolonged periods both sitting working at a desk/computer and working on their feet.
  • Must not have limiting mobility precluding reaching overhead, stooping or kneeling or making repetitive motions.
  • Shall be able to use a desktop or laptop PC computer, be able to use Maintenance database applications such as Shop Work Load Management System (SWMS) or other required Government Provided Production Management databases.
  • Shall be able to follow detailed and specialized instructions submitted on SWMS shop orders to meet customer requirements.
  • HS diploma or higher.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Support pre-fielding inspection at destination acceptance testing (AT) test and evaluation, failure analysis, troubleshooting, report findings of failures, discrepancies identified, found, and corrected in the SWMS Shop Orders to support the CLIN and SLIN requirements
  • Provide technical support associated with the following functions: near infrared (NIR) night vision goggle (NVG) depot maintenance repair support, pre-fielding inspection at destination acceptance testing (AT) support, condition code screening and disposal (demilitarization) support for Expeditionary Hardware Systems VAS Optics and Laser Systems
  • Support technical functions of the Expeditionary Hardware Systems VAS Optics and Laser Systems include, but are not limited to, the following commodities: NIR NVG Depot Maintenance Repair Support, Helmet-Mounted NIR NVG Systems, Small Arms Weapon Mounted NIR Optics.
  • Must provide technical support associated with the following functions: near infrared (NIR) night vision goggle (NVG) depot maintenance repair support, pre-fielding inspection at destination acceptance testing (AT) support, condition code screening and disposal (demilitarization) support for Expeditionary Hardware Systems VAS Optics and Laser Systems.
  • The Technical Support functions of the Expeditionary Hardware Systems VAS Optics and Laser Systems include, but are not limited to, the following commodities: NIR NVG Depot Maintenance Repair Support, Helmet-Mounted NIR NVG Systems, Small Arms Weapon Mounted NIR Optics, Helmet Mounted NIR NVG Systems, Helmet Mounted Clip-On SWIR/LWIR Systems, Hand-Held LWIR/MWIR Systems, Small Arms Weapon Mounted Direct View Optics (DVO), Small Arms Weapon Mounted NIR/Infrared (IR) Optics and Small Arms Weapon Mounted Visible/NIR/Infrared (IR) Lasers.

  • Disposal (Demilitarization) Support All Expeditionary Hardware Systems VAS Optics and Laser Systems
