We are currently seeking an Engineering Tech Painter, Maintenance (30084) to provide support our customer in Crane, IN. The ideal candidate will be able to perform the following duties, as well as, possess the following education and experience.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • One (1) to two (2) years of painting experience
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with a gravity-fed paint gun
  • SSPC C7 & C12 Certification - will be required at later date following employment if not already obtained

Responsibilities

  • Removal and application of coatings and corrosion control
  • Provide surface preparation prior to coatings application by grinding, sanding and/or blasting; this includes using media blast cabinets and walk in media blast rooms as well as steam pressure washers for cleaning and removal of debris
  • Mix paint, primer and other coating materials and perform coating applications using a variety of products and application techniques to include brushes, air guns and electroplating
  • Use various coating application devices for spraying, dipping, brushing and wiping.
  • Work with various types of materials such as ferrous and non-ferrous metal alloys (i.e. aluminum, steels, brass) as well as synthetic materials such as composites and plastics
  • Provide basic warehouse storage functions requiring forklift and overhead crane operations
