About The Position

Performing engineering technician tasks in support of aviation test programs. Supporting the testing of military assets using established methods and procedures. Performing mechanical modifications to various military assets. Preparation of test items including manual lifting/unpacking/packing of hardware. Performing work in a laboratory and outdoor setting. Capturing and documenting data using manual and IT formats from tests and test assets. Working with other testing labs in the organization through cross-functional training activities. May require up to 15% travel. Compliance with health mandates dictated by the contract may be a condition of employment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Seven (7) years of applicable experience supporting engineering, design, or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization; or three (3) years of applicable college/vocational/military/technical school and four (4) years of applicable experience in the assigned specialty area; and the following additional requirements: Mechanical – At least six (6) years of the seven (7) years of experience must include successful completion of vocational/military/technical school training in practical or industrial arts and a minimum of four (4) years of experience in mechanical fabrication and structural/fixture setup supporting engineering or testing of military hardware.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have or be able to obtain a security clearance.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be self-motivated, dependable, possess written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work within a team environment.
  • The ability to work safely and efficiently is a must.
