About The Position

Supports resort operations by performing maintenance tasks, including projects, preventive maintenance, and work orders. As an Engineering Technician II, you will perform engineering projects, guest calls, blitzes, and preventive maintenance as directed by resort management. You will troubleshoot plumbing issues, make repairs, and replace fixtures and piping as needed. You will also diagnose, replace, and repair minor electrical components such as receptacles and ballasts. Additionally, you will troubleshoot and repair appliances and household fixtures, understand HVAC systems and perform basic preventive maintenance and diagnostics, and repair interior and exterior walls, wall coverings, and ceilings, including texturing, painting, and caulking. You will also repair or replace tiles, grout, vinyl, and carpet as required. This role involves working with pools, spas, and water features, including chemical balancing and cleaning tasks. You will participate actively in procurement and inventory processes to ensure materials and tools are available for work. You will operate resort operations devices and software effectively (HotSOS and other applicable systems) and communicate professionally through radios, phones, emails, and verbal interactions. You will perform maintenance and cleaning tasks as required by resort management, safely use hand tools, power tools, and battery-powered tools required for the job, and work using ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). You will follow safety guidelines and practices, recognize and identify potential safety hazards on the property, and communicate and interpret guest needs through positive interactions toward resolution. You will adhere to all CFI/Westgate Resorts policies and procedures and always represent Westgate Resorts professionally through appearance, attire, and behavior. Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in trades and maintenance within a resort or commercial environment
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must have a valid driver’s license to drive company golf carts
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs and work in outdoor weather conditions
  • Written and verbal communication in English is expected
  • Ability to be versatile, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines
  • Must communicate effectively with supervisors and resort leadership
  • Required to pass a background check, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States
