As an Engineering Tech I, you will support resort operations by performing maintenance tasks, including projects, preventive maintenance, and work orders. You will demonstrate Westgate’s core values of Passion, Integrity, and Work Ethic in every interaction with guests and team members. This role involves performing engineering projects, guest calls, blitzes, and preventive maintenance as directed by resort management. You will provide general support by performing basic tasks such as painting, caulking, and wall repairs. Additionally, you will conduct basic plumbing diagnostics, electrical tasks like resetting breakers and measuring voltage, and troubleshoot and program TVs and other electronic devices. You will also diagnose and assist with appliance repairs, participate in procurement and inventory, and operate resort operations devices and software effectively. Professional communication via radios, phones, emails, and verbal interactions is essential. Maintenance and cleaning tasks, safe use of tools, and adherence to safety guidelines are also key responsibilities. You will recognize and identify potential safety hazards, communicate and interpret guest needs, and always represent Westgate Resorts professionally.
