About The Position

Intertek is seeking an Engineering Tech / Field Geologist to join their Professional Services Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) team in Kaukauna, WI. This role offers a career growth opportunity in the architectural, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry. Intertek-PSI is a leading US-based provider of construction assurance, testing, and inspection services, including construction materials testing, geotechnical services, environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, and specialty testing. The Engineering Tech / Field Geologist will perform independent evaluations using standard techniques and procedures, with minor adaptations as needed.

Requirements

Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record required.
Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal & written communication.
Ability to work off shifts and overtime.
Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently. Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance.
Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in sound.
Ability to kneel and squat occasionally.
Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions (hot and cold).
Ability to climb occasionally.

Responsibilities

Perform on-site observations, sample collection, and specific tests associated with geotechnical investigations.
Attend client site meetings and communicate effectively with client and project teams.
Perform and oversee laboratory testing activities.
Work both in the field and laboratory regularly.
Review project plans and specifications prepared by others.
Work on one or multiple projects at a time.
Adhere to safety practices and policies to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
