About The Position

This role involves supporting engineering by setting up, executing, and documenting tests for various equipment. The technician will be responsible for transporting, assembling, and verifying test setups, as well as operating a range of specialized test equipment. They will also troubleshoot issues under engineering guidance and maintain accurate records of test results and any anomalies.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience OR 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
Active Secret Clearance required.
Experience operating RF and Digital test equipment and technology.
Very strong computer skills, must be able to run automated tests.
Strong attention to detail and able to work with small/fragile/detailed parts.
Excellent communication, technical writing and presentation skills.
Experience handling very sensitive and fragile hardware, including mating and de-mating high density connectors, RF and optical connections.
Willing to work overtime as requested.

Nice To Haves

Experience with qualification testing, including vibration, thermal and thermal vacuum testing.

Responsibilities

Transport test equipment, fixtures, and cables to required testing locations.
Setup tests per written documentation and engineering direction.
Verify all test equipment is in calibration.
Verify all licensed test software is not expired.
Assemble custom or COTS equipment/fixtures.
Perform test and record required information.
Document failures and report any anomalies to key stakeholders.
Execute automated software using LabVIEW and/or TestStand GUIs.
Troubleshoot failed assemblies with engineering oversight.
Operate RF, optical and/or digital test equipment including network analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, noise figure analyzers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, OTDRs, OBRs, lasers, SOAs, BERT, DMMs and power supplies.
