About The Position

Responsible for the preventative maintenance and repairing of the hotel's mechanical/electrical systems, equipment, and for the general maintenance and upkeep of the physical property, FF/E, grounds, etc. Ensures maintenance/repair services level is maintained to include electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, heating and cooling, structural, facilities, ground and parking areas. Ensures timely response to requests for service by guests, employees, and management to include repair or replacement of all interior fixtures and furnishings. Ensures implementation of ongoing Preventive Maintenance program. Maintains emergency procedures and equipment and assists with the implementation of all emergency procedures for the safety of all guests and employees. Monitors and maintains a high level of cleanliness and maintenance. Conducts inspections, investigating complaints and implementing corrective actions. Ensures timely response to requests for service by guests or employees and management. Maintain exterior grounds to assure cleanliness. Removing snow as needed and salting when necessary. Maintenance Engineer will need to arrive earlier on property to remove snow before guest checkout. Ensure indoor pool functions and is clean for guests. Learn all procedures for the care of pool (if applicable). Fitness Center - maintaining exercise equipment.

Requirements

  • Knowledgeable in HVAC, electrical, carpentry, dry walling, painting, plumbing, roofing, and landscaping.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair routine mechanical and electrical malfunctions in hotel systems and equipment.
  • Ability to recognize potential safety hazards and security problems and act accordingly.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to service requests from guests, employees, and management for repairs or replacement of interior fixtures and furnishings.
  • Implement and manage an ongoing Preventive Maintenance program.
  • Maintain emergency procedures and equipment, and assist with emergency procedure implementation for guest and employee safety.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Conduct inspections, investigate complaints, and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain exterior grounds to ensure cleanliness.
  • Remove snow and salt walkways as needed, potentially arriving earlier on property for snow removal.
  • Ensure the indoor pool functions correctly and is clean for guests, learning all pool care procedures.
  • Maintain exercise equipment in the Fitness Center.
