Role Definition: As the Engineering Team Lead of the Gas/Dual Fuel Software Planning Team, your primary role is to coordinate concurrent software development projects covering the G3500, G3600, and Dual Fuel 3500 platforms. There will be a high demand for you to proactively interface with Engine Platform, Performance, Controls, Test Cell, HIL Validation and CATE groups to align all requirements, executing a robust and efficient software development process. As part of your scope, you will gain training and experience on the operation of HIL validation simulators (dSPACE), for your growth and overall process robustness.

Requirements

  • Requires a degree from an accredited Engineering curriculum
  • 5+ years work experience or 3+ years with relevant graduate degree
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Influencing Through Expertise: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to use these to deepen own expertise and impact or challenge decisions within and outside own organization.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct software feature requirements gathering and collaboration meetings with stakeholders and development partners.
  • Clearly communicate negotiated software timelines and align all necessary resources to deliver to per expectations.
  • Proactively propose and execute solutions to resolve issues due to resource constraints.
  • Gain knowledge of upstream and downstream software development processes to enable your effectiveness.
  • Investigate engine software field defects, coordinate their resolution and validation with impacted development groups.
  • Manage Gas and DGB/DF program budgets.
