About The Position
MDA Space is seeking a motivated and talented Engineering Student for its Structural Analysis department in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue. This is a 4-month mandate, with a possibility of extending to 8 months, starting in September 2026. The successful candidate will be treated similarly to a new graduate, with tasks assigned relative to their level of schooling and experience. Under the supervision of a senior analyst, the student will perform structural analyses of space antennas and electronic equipment using the finite element method.
Requirements
- Completion of 90 Bachelor's degree credits in Mechanical Engineering prior to the start of the internship.
- A GPA above 3.2 / 4.0.
- Demonstrate a sense of initiative.
Nice To Haves
- Successfully completed a course in finite element analysis.
- Knowledge of Nx software.
- Bilingual
Responsibilities
- Perform static, dynamic, and thermoelastic analyses.
- Calculate safety margins of components using commercial software or software developed at MDA.
- Size components, identify problems, and suggest modifications if necessary.
- Potentially generate test procedures and structural analysis or test reports to demonstrate compliance of subsystems.
