About The Position

MDA Space is seeking a motivated and talented Engineering Student for its EGSE and Test Data Processing department. This is a 4-month mandate (with a possibility of 8 months) starting in September 2026. The successful candidate will be treated similarly to a new graduate, with tasks assigned relative to their level of schooling and experience. The role involves collaborating with a multi-disciplinary engineering team to develop spacecraft electronic equipment, DC power supplies, and associated regulator circuitry using PCB technology. The candidate will contribute to designs and support documentation, including analysis, parts lists, schematics, assembly drawings, and test procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Design of test stations and test equipment for power converters
  • Preparation of conceptual drawings
  • Design simulations (LTSpice or PSpice)
  • Creation of electrical diagrams and PCBs
  • Material lists and assembly drawings
  • Manufacturing support for electrical assembly and testing activities
  • Support for test documentation such as writing test procedures, user manuals and other test-related documents
