About The Position

MDA Space is seeking a motivated and talented Engineering Student for its Digital department in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue. This is a 4-month mandate, with a possibility of extending to 8 months, starting in September 2026. The intern's work scope will be similar to that of a new graduate, with tasks assigned based on their level of schooling and experience. The role involves working on analog, digital, or power electronic systems, potentially participating in PCB design activities, supporting laboratory work, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and test plan development. Interns will be closely mentored and attend project status meetings.

Requirements

Fifth semester completed towards a Bachelor Degree in electrical engineering prior to the start of the internship.

Successful candidates must obtain and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP).

Nice To Haves

Experience with one or more of the following software: Matlab, Python, C/C++, PSPICE, Siemens Mentor Graphics (or other PCB design software)
Experience in PCB design and testing electronics
Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint software
Proven academic performance
Bilingual French and English (Contact with customers outside Québec).

Responsibilities

Join teams designing analog, digital or power electronic systems.
Participate in PCB design activities such as drawing or schematic development, bill of material management, electronic circuit analysis, test procedure development, mass, performance and power budgets.
Support laboratory activities such as prototyping, characterization, integration testing and reporting.
Support continuous improvement initiatives such as tool and business process development.
Support the development of test plans and automation through scripting and programming.
Attend project status meetings.
