About The Position

This position is for an Engineering Staff Lab Assistant/Inspector who works under minimal supervision, Performs hands-on technical work on engineering products, Confers with Engineers and lab technicians on details and specifications to build and modify a wide range of products. What You Will Do Works under minimal supervision to provide technical build support to engineers and technicians on a variety of tasks. Performs moderately complex hands-on technical tasks that contribute to the completion of engineering projects and products. Works on circuit boards completing repairs, component insertion and replacement, and even inspection. Familiar with soldering techniques, both lead and lead-free. Builds cables and terminations for a wide variety of circuity types. Understands the engineering inspection and quality process and follows quality procedures. Reads prints, drawings, and schematics as needed to assist in the build process. Uses hand tools, scopes, soldering stations, and other devices with skill and precision. Demonstrates successful soft skills - communication, attitude, leadership, and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
  • Experience reading prints, drawings, and schematics
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
