About The Position

The Engineering Specialist applies engineering principles and analytical techniques to the design and/or development of product concepts, processes, or new technologies. The Engineering Specialist will be responsible for process, material, and product development expertise targeted toward new business applications and/or new technologies for Antolin.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum 10 years of diversified Engineering experience with focused expertise in specific technologies
  • Professional and effective communication and representation skills.
  • Ability to sit, stand and have mobility to move around the office or manufacturing environment, when needed.
  • Ability to conduct extended computer work and lead discussions with employees.
  • Visits to customer facilities and plants may require extended standing and walking.
  • Ability to lift, move and manipulate parts required.
  • May require domestic and international travel

Responsibilities

  • Identify and lead new development projects focusing on new concepts, cost savings, global activities, and obtaining new business.
  • Create and execute goals, timing, and cost for project(s).
  • Track and evaluate emerging technologies.
  • Monitor and benchmark competitors and suppliers.
  • Communicate/coordinate projects between divisions, sales, targeted programs, customer needs, and corporate representatives.
  • Function as a development specialist with a particular expertise in interior part design, materials, processes, and tooling.
  • Support Antolin-Interiors Sales group in pursuing new business.
  • Participate as a lead member of the Global Expert Team to coordinate development activities across all of Antolin-Interiors and Antolin worldwide.
  • Support the Innovation Development Process and coordinate implementation of Innovations into production offerings.
  • Identify design work and create design specifications for a variety of complex product components to obtain operational, cost, quality, and/or manufacturing feasibility improvements.
  • Analyze highly complex design problems and formulate engineering conclusions by the application of engineering and/or mathematical principles.
  • Consult with personnel in various engineering activities relative to the design, drafting, and experimental construction of product components.
  • Provide technical support and follow-up on Design/Validation activities.
  • Represent our company professionally, and with a high level of integrity and enthusiasm.
  • Develop customer relationships that project a high level of product/process/material expertise.
  • Effectively network and communicate to utilize resources within the company.
  • Effectively communicate with employees, managers, divisions, and customers.
  • Other job duties as required and/or assigned.
